Stacking The Shelves| April 19
Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Reading Reality, is a weekly feature about sharing the books you add to your shelves, whether physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and ebooks!
Hello! There. Looking forward to discovering new books from all the participants.
As promised to myself, we went back at the end of March and bought The Pasta Queen Cookbook. I just love this kind of cookbook (with family stories in the mix); it is very heart-warming. I also want to add this to my collection of Italian cookbooks, as I love making homemade pasta noodles at home.
The Talking with Serial Killers: Stalkers by Christopher Berry-Dee was a freebie book (based on what genre I usually order from one of my favorite online seller). It was shipped together with my latest book haul that includes In The Meantime by Iyanla Vanzant and Sleep by Nick Littlehales.
I first saw this book on Lin's Perspective list. This book was a wonderful and memorable read for me. It reminds me of the friendship I lost a few years ago. I was taken aback by the number of times I needed to stop reading because tears kept escaping and kept landing on the pages. I was not prepared for that. The ending was good for me.
It's nice to find a book that appeals to us and moves us to tears.
ReplyDeleteWith the number of books we have on our shelves, our TBRs, Bookstores and future books to have, it is really nice to stumbled a gem. Thank you for dropping by.
DeleteI have never tried to make my own pasta noodles, but it does sound fun!
ReplyDeleteCindy, with a little practice and patience, homemade pasta noodles is so good compare to store-bought. Thanks for dropping by.
