I was reading my email today and stumbled upon an email notification from one of the authors (I'm doing ARC again) informing me that her book is now available worldwide for purchase and that a review of the book can help with marketing this week. Of course, I obliged happily and went to one of the retail shops to post my review. It was a solid plan until I noticed that the review I posted was not for that book. What a bummer. It was an honest mistake on my part because, as I was doing that review, I was also doing this blog post.
Basically, I copied and pasted the wrong review for a book. So embarrassing. I immediately contacted the customer service of that website, and I was assisted by their AI virtual assistant. I narrated what happened, and the AI assistant quickly answered me with the solution, which I followed, but it didn't help with my problem. So, I sent two screenshots, which the AI assistant analyzed, and it still ended with the same solution. At this point, our conversation went in circles, and there was no more solution to give.
The AI assistant offered to transfer me to a human for further assistance, which made me happy and hopeful. Finally, a human who could give me a better answer to my complex problem. The HUMAN agent did resolve my problem, and now waiting for their final email update.
