Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Reading Reality, is a weekly feature about sharing the books you add to your shelves, whether physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and ebooks! 

The weather is getting better on this side of the world, but we know it is very unpredictable, and one moment it changes. So, my expectation of a really, really sunny day is on hold for now. 

In other news, I wasn't able to attend the Manila International Book Fair (Sept. 09-13, 2026). I refused to take the chance of being stranded in the evening rush-hour traffic during the week. Traffic here is very brutal, and if it suddenly rains, that is not a good combination.  

I started reading "The Detective's Wife" by Mary Stone, and so far so good. I'm hooked.

I'm still reading the following: Pursuit of Jade by Tuan Zi Lai Zi and "Nobody Told Me That" by Roger Magalhaes. 

I was able to secure a hard copy of "Listen" by Kathryn Mannix for a steal. 

How's your new week so far?

This isn't my original recipe, but it's from one of the YouTube channel I follow, Shizuku. Her version is simple but has become my go-to recipe (with a few changes) for homemade siomai. Hubby loves it too.
