2025 Memory Keeping Plan
Hello There!
Last year, I had a lot of fun with a 6x8 Album for my memory keeping. I captured 2024 in one album (excluding December as I have a December daily mini for that) with the use of Canva+Google Photos. Scrapbooking had become so easy for me that I could have months of backlog and still be able to update my album in just 3 days. I learned to not be hard on myself when things I wanted to create didn't happen in real life. I always tell myself that memory keeping should not be a project out of frustration or stress and that it should be an activity that I can always look forward to doing. I have the capacity or the ability to find ways to scrapbook smarter, not harder.
That's why this year, When I saw this box set of A Year in Brambly Hedge by Jill Barklem in Wholesale Books Ph book live selling, I immediately mine a copy. The idea is very simple. I'm going to capture our memories using a phone, edit them with Snapseed, and send them to the cloud by Google Photos then do a 4x6 photo template in Canva and layout two pictures+text side by side like a Polaroid. Print using a Canon printer on glossy photo paper then cut and trim with a paper trimmer making sure that it will fit nicely to the place where I want to adhere. I wanted to tuck in my 2025 stories inside a children's four little picture book. A story within a story.
Each book(Summer, Spring, Autumn, and Winter)will be divided into 3 months. Limited to only 10 stories per month. I know choosing which photo to include will be hard, but If I intentionally take photos of memories I intended to incorporate then this will be easy to execute. I am very optimistic that I can pull this off without or minimal hitch.
