One Day Movie Review
I didn't know this movie existed until YouTube suggested it. The trailer looks interesting. Most of the reviews and comments about it were sad. That the movie was heartbreaking and the twist shouldn't happen. The viewers shed tons of tears while watching it. That got me curious, so, I asked hubby if we can watch it together last night.
The movie is about Emma and Dexter and their lifelong friendship and everything in between. It's beautiful and heartwarming. It reminds me of hubby and our lifelong journey apart and together, but despite of that, I didn't shed a single tear while watching it. Why? Because that's how life supposed to be in real life.
It gives you a thousand chances and two choices to pick. It lets you meet people at a certain time and take it away just like that. It gives you time to move on and continue to live on. If you are lucky, Life will let you experience the most heart-stopping moment. That One day, you meet the one. That one chance you didn't see it coming. That one moment when you give in to life uncertainty.
Death for me is not the end of everything. I didn't see it that way instead, I look at it in a very positive way. Her life ended so that he could continue living the way Emma wanted for him for so long. To live the length and width of his life just like what his father did for the past 10 years after Dexter's mom passed away.
The ending is perfect for me. It gives you a glimpse of how it started. It lets you go back and forth and connect each moment together, In the end, I don't feel lonely or sad. It made me feel thankful. The movie reminds me to find strength in the happy moments of our lives.
