BOOK GOALS
At the beginning of the month, I shared the books I plan to read. There were a lot, but I have a reading schedule to help me achieve my goal. It was the perfect plan. Then, life happened.
A few days before The 36th Manila International Book fair 2015 the marketing manager of Stick-ee confirmed my scrapbooking demo and I fainted (well not really, that was an exaggeration) I was so happy and nervous at the same time. I can't believe it. It was a dream of mine to teach scrapbooking. I'm thinking, years of playing with papers and glue will prepare me for that moment but believe me, it didn't. It made me more nervous and I keep on asking myself if I can really do it. The days before the event was torture. I'm having trouble sleeping because I keep on thinking about all the possible scenarios (most of them tragic) on how the event will be and because of that, I was not in the mood for reading. I can't concentrate. The reading takes a back seat and there's nothing I can do but wait till the event is done. Finally, the day came and the scrapbooking demo was a success! I can finally go back to reading but life has another plan.Something personal happened that made me lose my mojo for reading. I was worried. We all are. Hubby and I were traumatized. We didn't anticipate witnessing that but we did. It was horrible and we were heartbroken for a while but things got better and we slowly moved on. Happy days are here again.Mojo is back and finally, I was able to read. I read as if there's no tomorrow. I was able to finish Barbara the Slut and other people by Lauren Holmes and currently reading The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman. Two more days and September is officially over and there's no way that I can catch up with the remaining books. So, I decided to just continue reading till I'm done with the September read and do the review next month.
